Our
Work

CFP partners with organizations and communities to further social impact in the areas of education; the environment; health and human services; global health; gun violence prevention; and the Jewish Community and Israel.

Beyond these six foundational funding areas, we have made significant investments in racial justice and economic empowerment, arts and culture, civic affairs, humanitarian aid, and more.

OUR STRATEGIC FOCUS:

Lead Pursuits

CFP has elevated nine pressing issues as Lead Pursuits: areas where we are devoted to deepening our strategy, partnering with change-makers to develop and deploy targeted and innovative solutions, and participating in conversations and collaborations at the sector-level.

Each of our six program areas has designated one or more Lead Pursuits. We also remain invested in a number of Core Commitments, or issue areas that the Crown Family cares deeply about and has historically supported.

Where We Work

While CFP partners with communities across the country and around the world, our deep focus on Chicago has remained central across decades of family leadership. We are committed to a Chicago where all people have what they need to thrive: from equitable and high-quality public education, to shelter and safety, to beautiful and enriching public spaces.

CFP’s international giving primarily focuses on Israel, where we fund a variety of initiatives, and sub-Saharan Africa, where we fund community health initiatives.
