Honoring Jim Crown

As both a family and a philanthropy, we are heartbroken by the sudden passing of Jim Crown. Jim was a brilliant leader of utmost integrity and heart who, throughout his life, was dedicated to social impact. His humility, work ethic, and genuine care for others can be seen through his personal philanthropy as well as his work with Crown Family Philanthropies.

Our deep commitment to collective philanthropic work—which we have pursued for over 75 years and across four generations—will only grow stronger as we reflect on Jim’s life and legacy.
